I studied Prosthodontics, Periodontics and implant dentistry. I have worked for more than fifteen years in Periodontics and implantology focusing on saving natural teeth and replacement using the latest technology and treatments.

My passion is knowledge. Keeping up to update with the latest technologies and treatment techniques leads me to study both in England and outside for the necessary learning to provide the best for my patients.

On the other hand, meditation, yoga and different sports allow me to maintain a healthy lifestyle through mind-body harmony.

Serving and giving my best to the patients embodied in the understanding of biology is what I absolutely love about dentistry. The patients for whom I have the most empathy is those who arrive when they have no hope of keeping their natural teeth and complex cases regarding bone regeneration and dental implants.

Sonria is a clinic where the patient’s needs are truly a priority. The team are focused on delivering personalised services of the highest quality to patients.

I graduated from King’s College London school of Dentistry and have completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences also from King’s College London.

As a Dental Core Trainee in King’s College Hospital, I had the opportunity to work first hand on complex cases under the care of highly qualified, top consultants in Dentistry and Medicine and further improve my skills as a dentist.

I have an ardent interest in dentistry and aesthetics and have undertaken several research projects and completed a Fellowship in Facial Aesthetics. My passion for ongoing learning and development of skills ensures I provide my patients with the most current treatments and materials, carried out with the upmost care.

I’m a proud member of the Royal College of Surgeons, the British Dental Association and the British College of Aesthetic Medicine.

My combined dental and facial aesthetics background also ensures I’m able to see beyond just teeth when it comes to creating the perfect smile and my patients overall well being. I treat every patient as unique and individual when it comes to creating bespoke treatment plans to achieve the desired outcome.

I love working at Sonria because here we uphold moral values as Dentists and treat each other like a family.

I speak Farsi and English fluently and am conversational in French and Spanish.

I qualified as a dentist in 1987 from St Martins University in Colombia and later achieved a postgraduate qualification in Maxillary Orthopaedics in 1992. For 14 years I worked as a principal of my own dental practice in Bogota before coming to London in 2001 and qualifying as a Dental Surgeon with the GDC.

I worked as an associate in various practices in London before setting up Sonria Dental Clinic in 2007.

It has been quite a journey as I wanted to offer something quite special within the Dental industry: a complete, fully inclusive, end to end service where we could cater for all our patients dental wellbeing needs. This meant attracting the very best dentists, specialists and clinical support staff and investing in the latest technology and techniques.

I have a special interest in Cosmetic, Restorative and Holistic Dentistry, as well as Medical Aesthetics so it was natural for me to combine this knowledge into a service that went beyond just teeth to seeing the bigger picture in terms of my patients wants and needs in relation to their overall smile and wellbeing objectives.

Before becoming a dentist, I was an extremely nervous and apprehensive patient myself so I do really understand how those with dental anxiety feel. As a result, these are the patients I most look forward to seeing as It is very rewarding to see them finish their dental treatments and come out of it enjoying having visited the dentist.

It is very important to me that every patient feels seen, heard, understood and are extremely happy with not just their treatment outcomes but on the way we make them feel throughout their journey at Sonria. This philosophy has helped my team and I ensure we offer pain free, gentle dentistry in a way that really puts the patient at ease and in the driving seat. What I love most from being a dentist is to see my patients smile at the end of their treatments. I like to think, that when a patient comes to see me, I have the opportunity to make a difference.

My dental career began in Cuba, where I studied stomatology (oral medicine). After moving to England, I worked on Harley Street as a dental technician, then as a nurse for specialist endodontists, periodontists and oral surgery in private practice. I spent a decade working as a senior specialist nurse in the NHS community dental services, after which I dedicated three years to full-time study to become a dental hygienist and therapist.

I’m particularly interested in working with patients with dental anxiety or special needs. I’m also passionate about continuing my education and sharing my knowledge with others. Aside from my day-to-day work, I’ve also taught nurses who want to join the dental profession.

I take great pride in my work; am meticulous and always have the patients’ best interests at heart.

Sonria is a beautiful place where patients and staff feel part of the “Sonrias Community”. From the minute patients walk in, the team look not at their oral health but at holistic care by listening to patients and putting their best interests first.

I really enjoy working at Sonria Dental because we have a wonderful international team that work really well together, creating a family like culture that we the team and our patients absolutely love. In addition, the clinic has the latest technologies that allow me to deliver the most state-of-the-art orthodontic care that not only transform peoples’ smiles but also give them a healthy functional bite.

As the resident orthodontist, I provide a wide range of quality orthodontic treatments to adults and children alike, with a special focus in achieving a healthy occlusion while also straightening teeth.

I am specialised in both comprehensive and interceptive orthodontics, with fixed appliances as well as aesthetic alternatives like clear aligners, with a focus on occlusion and TMJ.

I completed my orthodontic training at New York University USA , followed by a 2 year advanced postgraduate course in orthodontics, occlusion and TMJ at the FACE/Roth-Williams Center in Spain. I’m passionate about staying up to date with the latest trends and am continually learning through national and international courses in my areas of interest.

I’m an active member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society, a regular lecturer at the Cephtactics PG Certificate Course in Orthodontics and I’ve been a speaker at international meetings.

Outside dentistry, I love sailing and travelling.

I am a highly trained oral surgeon with a strong commitment to providing high-quality, pain-free treatment to all my patients. Having worked with a diverse range of individuals, I have developed excellent communication skills and excel at putting patients at ease and clearly explaining procedures, expected outcomes and post-treatment follow-up needs. I have extensive experience performing oral surgery and oral medicine, including difficult extractions, dental implants, restorations and bone augmentation procedures. In addition, I am adept at diagnosing and managing treatment of infective, premalignant and immunological oral diseases.

Throughout my career, I have trained and mentored numerous dental students, new dentists and other clinical and non-clinical staff. This includes lecturing and teaching university and continuing education courses in oral medicine as well as assessing progress and providing individualised support to assist students and colleagues in learning new techniques and procedures.

After graduating from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 1998, he worked as a general dentist for 2 years, and as a Clinical Instructor to undergraduate dental students from 2002 to 2004.

He pursued his interest in endodontics by taking the 3 year full time specialist training programme in Endodontics at the University of Gothenburg, he graduated in 2007 and then held a post as Endodontist at the University Clinics in Gothenburg, Sweden, working part time as a clinician as well as clinical tutor at the specialist programme in endodontics until 2013.

Eduardo Miguel has been working in the UK since 2007, taking on complicated and challenging referred root canal treatment cases. He was admitted to the UK specialist list in endodontics the same year.

Professionally Eduardo Miguel is a member of the British Endodontic Society, the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and the Swedish Endodontic Society. He is fluent in Spanish, Swedish and English.

I have been an integral part of the Sonria Dental Clinic team for six years as a Dental Nurse. I manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic, with a strong work ethic and a positive approach to the challenges encountered in a busy dental practice.

I very passionate about dentistry as is evident in my multifaceted skills, enabling me to assist in specialised services such as Periodontology, Oral Surgery, and Endodontics, as well as Pediatric and Orthodontic clinics. Additionally, I hold a professional qualification in Dental Technology as I’m a bit of a techno geek who loves creating dental models for bleaching trays, night guards, retainers as well as accurately selecting shades for crown fabrication. This great combination of skills allows me to excel in providing comprehensive dental care and 360 support for my Dental team.

I love working in Sonría because we are like a family. A fully inclusive team that treats all our patients with the utmost love and respect regardless of who they are. We put our patients needs at the heart of everything we do. I love seeing their happy faces at the end of each visit – this always makes my day….

I worked as a qualified Dentist in Colombia for over 10 years in both the public health sector and in prestigious private practices. During this time I also gained experience as a Practice Manager and a Dental Nursing course tutor at University level.

My professional training is based on understanding and commitment to patients and colleagues, giving my best and operating at the highest levels of ethics, quality and care. I like to apply all my clinical and scientific skills into everything I do.

I love my profession. I love what I do. And because I love what I do, I always give my very best. In fact, everyone who works at Sonria loves what they do, are always smiling and eager to help. Dentistry is bit stressful sometimes for dentist and patients, so I like to do whatever I can to make the experience more relaxed and less stressful for everyone.

I’ve been working at Sonria for 9 years and it’s simply the best place to work. We have a very good team where my colleagues actually feel like family. We care very deeply about our patients – they are like family too.

I’m currently working as a Dental Nurse & Radiographer whilst I revalidate my Dentistry qualifications here in the UK. I’m also continually studying and keeping up to date within the fields of Dentistry and management.

I’ve had the pleasure of being the Practice Manager at Sonria Dental Clinic for the past 12 years. Initially qualifying as a Dentist in Colombia, I bring a wealth of expertise to my role with over twenty years of experience in the dental field.

My responsibilities encompass the efficient management of patient appointments, ensuring prompt scheduling, and overseeing the daily operations of the clinic. I am dedicated to meeting both patient and colleague expectations with diligence and professionalism.
